After the Night

One of the sculptures entitled Romance (Amore). I began this sculpture in water-based clay looking at a live model in a small town called Seravezza in Tuscany, Italy. This sculpture had quite a trip as it was in my suitcase and lost by the airlines as I traveled from Pisa to Positano, in the southern part of Italy. Then it was lost again as I traveled from Madrid back to Santa Fe. Eventually, the sculpture and I were reunited. I finished it in Santa Fe.

The background is the view from the balcony of a small hotel that I stayed in Positano. The sculpture is about the sweet memory of romance.
