Artist’s Statement
I have had numerous challenges in my life, especially over the last decade. These challenges have created opportunities for me to focus on what I really want to do with my life. The answer is simple: Create art that connects with people’s hearts and, hopefully, adds a bit of joy, positive imagery to their day—and even contributes to their self-healing.
My artwork has been shaped by diverse experiences: I grew up on the West Coast in a family of doctors (mother, father, and more recently, my “baby” brother), my past work in politics, community programs for youth, as a marketing consultant/creative director, as a career coach, and as a CEO of a consulting business based in the East.
My background and the challenges that I have faced mixed with my love of animals—the joy and love they give us every day—and my ongoing practice of the discipline of martial arts serve as the foundation for my celebration of living—now!
I am a reformed cynic who is now a believer in the strong and enduring connection between one’s mind and one’s body. I believe in the ability of each person to heal themselves and to bring and keep joy in their lives every day. I believe that it is a choice that we make every day—whether or not to be truly happy.
I look forward to working with people as I create sculptures, mixed media pieces and jewelry—composed of sterling silver and special stones. The jewelry is designed to match the stones properties with the wearer’s goals, issues and intentions.
My goal is to create limited edition or one-of-kind pieces that will be treasured by the buyer/recipient and add to their happiness—every day.
I encourage you to give me feedback on my art:
Are you inspired by something that you see on my website? Sculptures can be made larger than the initial size. Necklaces can be designed to your preferences. Paintings and mixed media can be created just for you on a commission basis.
Do you have a question about the possibility of an art piece that is not on my website?
As always, a portion of my net proceeds will be donated to one or more non-profit organizations.
