Jennifer Thompson Gunn died April 18 at home. I apologize that this notice is slow in coming. It is painfully difficult to grasp that my sister who was well known for her exuberant vitality has left us. W.B.Yeats wrote, “gather me into the artifice of eternity.” That is the image of Jennifer I prefer to keep in the picture frame in my head; my sister blissfully up to her elbows in projects where her talents are more needed. In her last months, she created a series of oil paintings she entitled “When I close my eyes.” She found great solace in studying the paintings when she no longer had the strength to paint. I think she may have seen in them the gateway to her next journey. Jennifer appeared serene when she did at last close her eyes.
I will attempt to maintain this site with her art since I know she would want her creations to continue. Please have patience as I change the site from working studio to an archive.

Dear Alexander Blake
That is a beautiful tribute. Jennfier would be touched. I got tears in my eyes.
Brilliant!
At the last Studio Art tour in Santa Fe, a man spent time looking at Jennfier’s works of art, her sculptures, and jewelry and then said to me, “She was the work of art!” Yes, she certainly was.
Hi, Mr. Blake. I miss Jennifer. Thank you for keeping this going. much love, her friend.
